Ghana: "The Challenge" - Education UK Reality TV

The British Council in partnership with Tigo, University of Westminster and CharterHouse Ghana, is launching the first ever groundbreaking, unscripted Reality Game Show, designed to give three bright young ambitious Ghanaian university graduates the opportunity to study under postgraduate scholarships at three leading universities in the UK.

The show dubbed 'The Challenge' is an Education UK Reality Game Show. The show will select out of thousands of applications 25 lucky individuals who will have to demonstrate academic excellence, leadership competencies, as well as character and creativity .The 25 candidates will undergo a series of interviews by a panel of eminent jurists, who will shortlist the candidates to 12 finalists to participate in the Reality Game Show. The 12 finalists will receive extensive personal and professional development training and compete against each other in a series of weekly tests, tasks and quizzes in management, leadership, creativity and UK-Ghana trivia.

The contestants will be adjudged by a 3-member Scholarship Committee; named "THE BOARD" to be made up of a renowned academics and business leaders. Depending on performance against set criteria, one contestant would be 'fired' by the general public through SMS voting every week. Eight (8) out of the 12 contestants will be fired (evicted) over an eight-week period.

The 4 remaining contestants will go head-to-head in a grand finale competition to determine qualification for the grand prize.

The ultimate winner will go away with a full board postgraduate scholarship from the University of Westminster valued at £40,000, fully paid accommodation in an international students' hostel, a monthly living allowance, a return air ticket to the UK valid for one year and a brand new laptop computer. On completion of the post-graduate course the ultimate prize winner will return to Ghana to pick up a pre-arranged lucrative job placement and a brand new car.

The two runner ups will receive one-year postgraduate scholarships and accommodation from London Metropolitan and Thames Valley Universities. In addition, they will receive return air-tickets and living allowance.

'The Challenge' will run for 12 weeks on TV3 and will afford the general public the opportunity to participate as studio audience members and also via weekly SMS prize draws and eviction voting.

British Council invites thousands of Ghanaian first-degree graduates to compete for the scholarships at Britain's top universities including the 1st prize scholarship from the University Of Westminster, UK.

The reception of the sound is very bad and difficult to enjoy the questions.
