Asmara — The newly appointed Eritrean Ambassador to Canada, Mr. Ahferom Berhane, presented his credentials to the Governor General of Canada, Her Excellency Michel Jan on October 2.
During the presentation ceremony, Mr. Ahferom gave briefings on the current situation, the Eritrean-Ethiopian border issue and the active role Eritrea is playing in promoting peace in the Horn of Africa.
Also speaking on the occasion, the Canadian Governor General stressed the need for joint effort towards promoting peace in the Horn and expressed goodwill to Ambassador Ahferom in discharging his duty.
