Festival Eritrea 2007 in Italy opened yesterday in a colorful manner within the premises of Rome's Teatro Tendastrisce.

The Secretary of the PFDJ, Mr. Al-Amin Mohammed Seid, opened the Festival and observed art exhibitions prepared by the Italian-Eritrean Friendship Association and Signore Domenico Capoduro.

The Head of Consular Affairs in the Eritrean Embassy, Ms. Shemainesh Kiros, and a representative of the Festival Coordinating Committee respectively delivered opening speeches.

Seminars, different cultural and sports activities, as well as programs focusing on youth and children are being staged in the Festival, in which members of Eritrean Community in Italy are taking part.

The Festival will continue until October 7.
