Nigeria: JTF Troops Shoot Footballer Dead On Playground

Port Harcourt — MEN OF the Joint Task Force in Port Harcourt yesterday gunned down a footballer at the Baptist High School field . Eye witnesses told the Vanguard that the youngman alongside others had gone to the field in the evening for their usual training sessions when suddenly the soldiers arrived the scene in their patrol vehicle.

They said as soon as the boys saw the soldiers they were gripped with fear. And immediately they took to their heels. One of them was however unlucky as he was reportedly brought down by bullets from the soldiers.
