Welcome to your favourite column. Have you been to Mauritius? If no, Travel and Budget will take you there this week.
Mauritius has different places of interest that you will love to visit, but I will take you to one of their most captivating resort you will surely wish to visit and that is the Le Touessok?
Gloriously positioned on the desirable east coast of Mauritius (just 50 minutes from the airport), this highly sought-after and much-loved resort has been the recipient of numerous awards over the years including more recently 'Best Hotel in Africa and the Middle East' by Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. in 2006.
Uniquely designed to resemble a sleek Mediterranean-style shoreline village combining cool white with timber and thatch, Le Touessrok is world renowned for its contemporary haute-chic elegance. From the moment you arrive and gaze out across the freeform swimming pool to the beautiful curve of Trou d'Eau Douce Bay beyond -you will be captivated by the inimitable charm of this irresistible hideaway which unwittingly woos many visitors back year after year.
A spectacular wooden bridge links the resort grounds to Frangipani Island where guests can revitalise their mind, body and soul at the Givenchy Spa and Fitness Centre which includes a superb heated lap pool. Frangipani Island also houses 92 of the resort's Junior Suites along with the 6 Ocean Suites - all of which are modern and cool, with stunning ocean views and open-plan spacious layouts combining chic off- white walls with rich African woods and vivid soft fabrics. The Ocean Suites enjoy the additional benefit of a living and dining area - and each can interconnect with an adjacent Junior Suite.
The remaining 33 Junior Suites - and 68 Deluxe Rooms - are spread across the Hibiscus and Coral Wings on Le Touessrok's main stretch of white sandy beach. Discerning families seeking the ultimate in privacy may prefer one of the three individually designed 3-bedroom villas which offer a fabulously indulgent alternative to the main accommodation.
Just a short boat ride away lie the resort's two recreational islands. Ile aux Cerfs is home to the 18 hole golf course (designed by Bernhard Langer) and an array of watersports available from the Boathouse and Dive Centre - whilst Ilot Mangenie, the resort's own castaway retreat, is the perfect place to while away lazy afternoons enjoying a barefoot beach lunch of fresh seafood and wood-fired pizzas. Le Touessrok also has 3 other fabulous restaurants and 3 bars to choose from.
Coastal bike rides and horse riding along the beach can easily be arranged. Children aged 4 - 11 years can enjoy the dedicated Kids programme -and even teenagers can take advantage of the specially designed activities suitable for their age group.
Le Touessrok's warm Mauritian hospitality and charm is legendary. Their 24 hour butler service even includes a special 'beach butler' who will happily pamper sun worshippers with trays of fresh fruit and exotic cocktails!
Talking about their cuisine itself cannot be over emphasized. Above all, their cuisine is resourceful,"
To my mind, to get a feel of natural sea breeze on beaches, warden on lush island hills, relax in civilized luxuries, hop across the skies on a helicopter or simply float across aquatic...in chartered boats and also to view national species.
The Le Touessrok resort is equipped with the most recent technology, isn't a place worth visiting? Well next week I will bring to you another interesting place that you will love to visit, please don't think of the money, but think of the excitement you will get. Keep sending in your emails.
