Uganda: Eleven Universities Lock Horns in Nusfu Championship At Ndejje

Ndejje — Crown Bottlers (Pepsi Cola) and Nteza Sports Centre have injected Shs5m into the second edition of the National University Sports Federation of Uganda (NUSFU) Volleyball Championships that begin today at Ndejje University.

The University's Sports Tutor Paul Mark Kayongo said Pepsi Cola will provide refreshments, tents and T-shirts while Nteza Sports Centre is to offer six trophies and medals to the tournament's outstanding teams and individuals.

Teams in the annual event that have entered both men and women's teams include Makerere University, Nkumba University, Uganda Christian University (UCU) Mukono, Islamic University of Uganda (IUIU), Kyambogo University, Makerere University Business School (MUBS) and hosts Ndejje University.

Bugema, Gulu, Kampala International University (KIU) and Kumi Universities have only entered men's teams. Ndejje University are the tournament defending champions, having beaten Nkumba 3-2 in last year's final.
