Abuja — The former vice president of the United States of America, and of the UN Climate panel, Albert Arnold Gore, has been declared the winner of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for raising awareness on the risks of climate change.
In 1992, Gore was picked by the Democrats as running mate of former President Bill Clinton. He later suffered image credibility problem when he became embroiled in a fund-raising scandal.
