Somalia: Number of People Arrested in B/Weyn Town in Central Somalia

Mogadishu — The security forces of Beledweyn town in central Somalia carried out incognito operations and captured more than 100 people.

The provincial commissioner of B/weyn town the headquarters of Hiran region Yussuf Dabaged told Shabelle that his administration has done a lot about the security of the region.

In his interview with Shabelle radio the commissioner said the insecurity his region experienced is not excluded from the instability in the other regions of Somalia.

In terms of the security a lot of people were arrested overnight in Bundo weyn a section of Beledweyn town.

The arrest of these people came after people were killed and looted in this section of the town two nights ago.

Yussuf Dabaged similarly talked about a missile that had landed in a section of B/weyn and said it was not a missile from the Ethiopians in the outskirts of the town, but an explosion within.
