Hagaz

Head of developmental activities in Hagaz, Mr. Naser Omer, said that different activities are underway to ensure food security as well as soil and water conservation in the region.

Reports indicated that over 3km of terraces and 280 cubic meters of embankments have been constructed.

Meanwhile, 4,000 seedlings planted to mark June 20 Martyrs' day are reported to be in good condition.

Mr. Nasser further said that the inhabitants and members of the Ministry of Health are reinforcing efforts to prevent the spread of malaria due to the rainy season. He added that around 135 residential houses were destroyed for not being constructed in accordance with the city master plan and the residents received land in return.

Mr. Nasser also indicated that plans have been mapped out to construct terraces, embankments, sport fields, and renovate livestock market places.
