Angola: Elections - CNE Suggests Release of Poll-Book Until December

Luanda — The National Electoral Commission (CNE) Thursday in Luanda recommended the Government that the release of the pool-book takes place until December this year.

It is also the CNE recommendation to Government that such acts as presentation of complaints, appeal and return of the register to the Electoral Registration take place until December.

This was said by CNE spokesperson, Adão de Almeida, at the end of one more weekly session of appraisal of the preparations for the elections.

The official said the poll-book should be released in October this year, so the voters can check for their names, followed by the period of complaints and appeal, with a view to the consolidation of the electoral register.

Adão de Almeida said as well the CNE submitted the readjusted plan on electoral costs to the Interministerial Committee for the Electoral Process (CIPE) on September 19 this year, containing the tasks subsequent to the registration acts.

The subsequent tasks include the release of the poll-book, complaints, appeal and return of the electoral registration to the CNE.
