Angola: African Confederation Approves Conditions in Huambo City

Huambo — The African Handball Confederation (CAHB)'s Secretary, Aremou Mansouroun, on Saturday here said Huambo has conditions to host one of the stages of the African nations championship in both sexes, expected for January 2008, in Angola.

Speaking at the end of an assessment visit to Huambo, after passing by Lubango City, he added that he noticed good infrastructures and if they are well managed they may provide unforgettable moments for guests.

On his turn, the executive director of the organising committee of the mentioned championship, Jose Galiano, said the five cities that will host the competition have good conditions.

Accompanied by the provincial director of Youth and Sports, Bernardo Suca, the team visited the hotels Roma, Nino and residential complex Sistec and Osvaldo de Jesus Serra Van-Dunem pavilion one of the venues of the competition.

Other cities are Luanda, Lubango, Cabinda and Benguela.

The draw will be held on October 23, in Luanda.
