Angola: Semba Masters Band On Kilamba Stage Sunday

Semba Masters band are participating for the first time is this Sunday's live entertainment programme called "Musongue da Tradiçao", taking place in Kilamba recreational and cultural centre, in Luanda.

The band that was created in 1993 are to play some of their songs and also back three singers contracted for this purpose.

Made up Carlitos Chiemba, Lito Graça, Chalana Danta, Lanterna and Betinho Feijo, the and are one of the most renowned acts of the national music scene, whose songs are based in the semba style and some incursions to rhythms such as Kwassakwassa and Kilapanga.

They have already supported singers such as Patricia Faria and Bonga.

Musongue da Tradiçao programme is an initiative of Kilamba Centre and started in February 2006, with the band Jovens do Prenda and the singers Zecax, Dom Caetano and Proletario.
