Segeneiti

Development activities in the sub-zone of Segeneiti are gaining momentum as part of the ongoing efforts to promote soil and water conservation, according to Mr. Hailemariam Teweldemedhn, Head of the branch office of Ministry of Agriculture in the sub-zone.

So far, about 115 km of terraces and over 500 cubic meters of embankments have been constructed through popular campaigns.

Reports indicate that the inhabitants of the administrative areas of Birkito, Astah, Adi-Baekel and Nielto are also actively engaged in similar development activities.
