The Chairperson of the National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW), Ms. Leul Gebreab, conducted a seminar to Eritrean women residing in London regarding the activities of the Union.

She gave extensive briefings on the NUEW's on-going activities in the economic, social and cultural domains and called on Eritrean women abroad to enhance their participation in the nation-building process.

Expressing admiration for the role of Eritrean women in national development endeavors, the participants of the seminar pledged to reinforce contributions towards the construction of a women training center in the Southern region. They also reaffirmed their readiness to do what is required of them. Moreover, the participants asserted that they would strive to nurture Eritrean youth in close collaboration with the Eritrean Community in the UK and other national associations.

Meanwhile, the Eritrean Embassy in the UK assured that it would extend the necessary cooperation in effectively carrying out the work of Eritrean women in that country.
