The Commander of Operation Zone 3, Maj. General Omar Hassan Tewil, stressed the paramount importance of nurturing mature and dynamic youths in building a strong and respected nation.

He made the remarks at a seminar he conducted to 600 youths and students in the town of Keren.

Indicating that Eritrean youths have spearheaded the struggle for independence through overcoming the divisive conspiracies of the enemy, Maj. General Omar Hassan Tewil said that the efforts to build a prosperous Eritrea heavily depends on the maturity and commitment of the youth.

Noting the heroism demonstrated by Eritrean youth in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty, he underscored that Eritrea's source of strength is its human resource potential and expressed conviction that the country would attain its set goals through meeting all challenges. He further called on the youth to make good use of the educational opportunities being provided by the people and the Government.

Also speaking at the seminar, the head of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students in the Anseba region, Mr. Zeresenai Tesfai, stressed the significance of sharing experience for promoting the maturity of the youth.
