Kenya: Watchdog Teams Lived Up to Name Despite Politics

Nairobi — Watchdog committees played their part by keeping the government on its toes during the just-dissolved Ninth Parliament.

Indeed, the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and the Public Investment Committee (PIC) lived up to the exhortation of National Assembly Speaker Francis ole Kaparo, who said in one of his rulings that the two bodies were not referred to as "watchdogs" for want of a name.
