The National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) branch in Germany held its 18th Congress in Frankfurt from October 20 to 21.

Women representatives from 22 German cities took part in the Congress, during which a report was presented on the accomplishments of the branch over the past two years.

Following discussions on the paper presented, the participants elected a 7-member Executive Committee that would lead the NUEW branch for the next two years.

The Congress adopted significant recommendations, including the reinforcement of efforts to facilitate the construction of a training center in the Gash-Barka region, to nurture female youth for leadership roles, as well as to fulfill what is expected of them in strengthening national unity.
