Gaborone — The Permanent Secretary to the President, Eric Molale on Tuesday addressed Botswawna diplomats in Asia via videoconference from the new Debswana premises.

The diplomats are based in Australia, China, Japan and India. They met in Beijing, China. The PSP told the diplomats that they should always serve the country with all their hearts and reminded them that any wrong doing whilst there also affects Batswana.

Molale spoke with the diplomats about how to improve the civil service, especially outside the country. He said the diplomats should do their work in such a way that every Motswana can see the importance of the civil service.

"Ga re batle gore go nne e kare jaanong puso e gogagogana le batho". Botswana's diplomat based in China, Naomi Majinda said it was their role to do good work since they represent the country outside and Batswana should be able to see what they do. The conference was interrupted after experiencing some problems when Australia's Molosiwa Selepeng made his contribution.

The Debswana conference was the second after the one that was held last week at the Gaborone Main mall when the Diplomats were at the residence of the Botswana High Commissioner in London, Roy Blackbeard.
