Uganda: They Owe Us Shs1,600 Billion

SHOCKING details have emerged that show it is not only struggling businessmen Hassan Bassajjabalaba and Vellupilai Kananathan that have benefited from the generous cash handouts in taxpayers money from the government.

A detailed list from the Office of the Auditor General indicates that there are at least 40 private enterprises, businesses and state agencies that the government gifted with taxpayers' money to the tune of a staggering Shs1,6oo billion in form of unsecured bail loans.
