Tunis — Tunisia was elected on Wednesday in Paris as a permanent member of UNESCO's executive council.
Tunisia secured the support of 120 countries thus topping the list of elected countries. Observers note that Tunisia's election to the UN body is a token of recognition of the country's many achievements in the field of education and its painstaking efforts in view of promoting "quality education for all" as part of a UN led initiative .
It is also a token of recognition of the pertinence of Tunisia 's choices in investing in human resources.
It is worth noting that the latest Davos report ranks Tunisia 10 th in the world, insofar as the quality of its education system is concerned.
