Members of the Central Region Assembly conducted a tour in the Gash-Barka region to observe the ongoing development activities.

They stated that the nation is registering remarkable achievements in endeavors to improve the living standard of the people.

In the course of the six-day tour, the Regional Assembly members visited banana and pepper plantations in Tekrerit, in the Agordat sub-zone, the 500-hectare sugar and onion plantation in Afhimbol, and the Molober farm, as well as agricultural development projects in the Haikota and Tesenei sub-zones.

In addition, they met students of the Warsay-Yikaalo School and those who are following vocational training, and observed the newly constructed bridges along the Barentu-Tesenei road, besides the Barentu Referral Hospital.
