Nigeria: PDP Under My Leadership'll Re-Admit Amaechi, Says Egwu

Abuja — One of the contenders to the chairmanship position of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Sam Egwu, has said that as chairman of the party, he will consider the option of returning Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State back to the party. This, he said, is in the spirit of reconciliation which is prevailing in the party.

"We shall endeavour to bring everybody on board. The Supreme Court ruled last week that Amaechi be sworn-in as governor of Rivers State but he had been expelled from the party shortly after the governorship primaries.
