Angola: Culture Minister Leaves for Cape Verde

Luanda — Angola's minister of Culture, Boaventura Cardoso leaves the country this Tuesday for Cape Verde, to attend from November 02 to 04 the 6th Meeting of Culture Ministers of the Portuguese Speaking Countries Community (CPLP).

A source of the Culture Ministry informed that minister Boaventura Cardoso will lead a delegation composed by the director of International Interchange of this organ, Francisco da Costa, by his office's director, 'scar Guimarães, and two more senior staffs.

Prior to the meeting of CPLP's Culture Ministers, the experts will analyse, among others, issues related to the creation of a work group for the acceleration and functioning of the cultural stamp of the community, the report on the training period of the International Creative Centre of CPLP.

The source added that sample of profiles of CPLP movies, the handing over of the portfolio cultural projects' profiles and the balance of the implementation of actions adopted at the Bissau Meeting, in 2006, are also part of the forum.

CPLP was founded on 17 July 1996 and comprises of Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, Sao Tome and Principe and East Timor.
