Kampala — DOES anyone out there know the similarity between Tanzania's Big Brother housemate Richard and Ugandan artiste Abdu Mulaasi?
Well, I have it on good authority that given chance, both would establish a host, or in Mulaasi's speak, a farm of women.
It turns out after having penetrative sex with Angola's Tatiana and stealthily using his hand on drunken Ofunneka, Richard is constantly being caught off-guard all the time as he ogles the new fake housemate from Kenya, Ashanti.
So do you wonder why many have christened Richard the title of 'His Horniness'?
Well, Ashanti, who, upon getting posted into the house as a mole, got so hell-bent on wrecking havoc between Richard and Tatiana's love box, is enjoying all the attention from distracting 'His Horniness.'
In fact, all she is doing is continue baiting the Tanzanian with a rather well-rehearsed tempt-and-tease go at it.
And then Tatiana, whose hots for Richard have hit a head-over-heels Richter scale can barely keep a gaze of her Big Brother house heartthrob. Feeling a lot threatened by Ashanti, Tatiana is literally possessing Richard. And unlike in the initial days of the DStv reality show, where Richard was caging Tatiana from the other male housemates, the reverse is now true.
So, all Richard is doing now is steal a moment with Ashanti, who maximises every second with him. And Ashanti is just about the hottest girl in the house, which has relegated Tatiana to second position.
In the Jacuzzi on Monday evening as finalists; Richard, Tatiana and Ofunneka got to know more about the two new fake housemates (Ashanti and Zimbabwe's Victor), each of the competing girls was at their exhibition best.
While Tatiana pulled off that smile that used to daze Richard, Ashanti rolled her gypsy diva-like eyes and strutted her body like she was inviting Richard to a treat.
And guess what; Richard's heart skips a beat - and he doesn't realise Tatiana's used-to-be-infectious smile.
And when Tatiana started playing with her short hair, Ashanti pulled out her long ponytail, again making Richard oblivious of Tatiana's short hair. And I am thinking, what do we have here? A big brothel in Big Brother?
And in what now looks like a desperate attempt to keep his mind off Ashanti, Richard is forcing himself to spend more time with Tatiana. But you can clearly see a man whose mind is on a different woman from the one in whose arms he is resting.
Do not forget that this dude has his Canadian wife back home in Tanzania. And their marriage is hardly six months old - wow!
And hey, Ofunneka seems to have found romance after all the desperation. It turns out Victor, who came into the house with an eye on Tatiana, has been chocked by the scandals around Richard. And he has deemed it wise to steer clear of his woman, or better still, his women. Now Victor is spending more time with Ofunneka - and they have started cuddling each other. Do we see another romantic couple, this time involving a mole before the reality show's finale on November 11? But Tatiana also confessed to Big Brother that Victor is a cool guy because he is gentle with ladies and has a nice smile. And I am thinking: "Who's fooling who?"
Meanwhile, all the finalists are not convinced by Big Brother's prank that the moles are real housemates vying for the same $100,000. They think the new housemates have been brought in as a twist and cannot buy the idea that they have all along been staying in a twin Big Brother house. What has made it so predictable is their possession of new clothes and suitcases formerly used by evicted housemates Kwaku and Code.
Veering from the vanity side, I am of the view that Richard should have been disqualified for taking advantage on drunken Ofunneka. There was no consent and I am wondering whether that wasn't attempted rape, or rape at that. Big Brother should know better than to ultimately hand him the jackpot on November 11. That is why I think Tatiana deserves the money since Ofunneka made our Maureen look bad before the viewers' eyes, ultimately leading to her eviction.
