Eritrea: 136 Km-Long Road Constructed in Araeta Sub-Zone

31 October 2007

Araeta — A 136 km-long road connecting different villages in the Araeta sub-zone has been constructed through the Warsay-Yikaalo Development Campaign. Accordingly, roads running from Ayumen to Sibukle, Aitos to Aleti, and Aleti to Geberu are presently rendering services to the public.

The head of economic development in the sub-zone, Mr. Mussa Hagos, said that the local inhabitants took active participation in the task.

Noting that there exists a shortage of efficient transport facilities in the area, he called on the Administration of the Southern Red Sea region and the Land Transport Department to immediately address the issue.
