Mogadishu — A high level delegation led by Ethiopian foreign minister Seyoum Mesfin, has reached in the south-central trading town of Baidoa in Somalia early on Wednesday.
Reports from Baidoa town indicate that Mr. Seyoum Mesfin, Ethiopian foreign minister held meeting with Somalia's president Abdullahi yusuf Ahmed and some members of parliament who are the sympathizers of the outgoing prime minister Ali Mohamed Ghedi.
It is unclear what issues had been raised during their meeting in Baidoa town, Even though some news sources point out that the main issues debated were related to the appointment of a new prime minister after Ghedi vacated his post as prime minister.
Much speculation had been going on throughout in the southern part of Somalia about who would be the successor of the outgoing prime Minister.
It is believed that the former prime Minister, Ali Mohamed Ghedi has been forced to resign after a lot of pressure from Ethiopian side along with US government.
Mr. Seyoum Mesfin, Ethiopian foreign minister and his delegations have returned to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Wednesday afternoon.
