Kenya: KPLC's Plans for Investment in Telecommunications

Nairobi — A state-owned power supply company plans to spend Sh1.8 billion in a new telecommunications business.

The endeavour entails installation of a fibre optic cable on Kenya Power and Lighting Company's (KPLC) transmission and distribution network in the country. It will replace the System Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), which currently stores information.
