The Eritrean Ambassador to the United States, Mr. Girmai Gebremariam, conducted a seminar on 28 October for Eritreans residing in the city of Oakland and its environs regarding the objective situation in the Homeland and the development programs being implemented within the framework of the Warsay-Yikaalo Development Campaign.

The Ambassador pointed out that the nation is registering impressive achievements both in safeguarding sovereignty and implementing multi-faceted development programs. He noted that Eritrea would attain food security in the near future, as concerted endeavors continue to be exerted to that end.

Mr. Girmai further explained that there are plans to implement major investment ventures in the domains of tourism, mining and fisheries so as to reinforce the on-going national development drive.

Underscoring that the TPLF regime has been posing obstacles to the border demarcation process through different excuses, Ambassador Girmai said that the regime is preparing to launch yet another cycle of war. He also called on citizens to step up their struggle through keeping intact firm national unity.
