Rahaita

The Administrator of the Southern Red Sea region, Ms. Tsigereda Weldegergish, called on the people to effectively harness land, water and maritime resources of the region so as to achieve food security.

She made the remarks during a visit to Harsile and Rahaita to observe the construction of the Assab-Rahaita road and the vegetable farming in the area. In the course of the visit, she held discussions with the Sultan of Rahaita, area administrators and members of the Deference Force.

Ms. Tsigereda also called on EDF members who are actively engaged in vegetable farming activities, which are aimed at stabilizing the local market, to share their experience with farmers in these localities.

Moreover, the Administrator held meetings with heads and employees of social service institutions and exchanged experience with them.
