Eritrea: Development Activities Gaining Momentum in Adi-Keih Sub-Zone

Adi-Keih — Development activities focusing on soil and water conservation and promoting a sound ecology are gaining momentum in the Adi-Keih sub-zone.

Accordingly, the inhabitants of Adilejin and Kerni-Me'ar have put in place 51 km-long terracing and over 1000 cubic meters of embankments, while the inhabitants of 4 villages in the Adikanta administrative area constructed about 3,000 cubic meters of embankments and 30 km.-long terracing.

Likewise, the inhabitants of the Hiret administrative area have carried out a similar activity involving 45 kilometers. In addition, soil and water conservation activities are being carried out in other administrative areas.
