Lubango — The minister of Family and Women Promotion, Cândida Celeste Tuesday urged women in Lubango city, south Huíla province, to carry out mammography tests to prevent and reduce the cases of breast cancer.
Cândida Celeste, who was speaking at the re-inauguration ceremony of the "Camarada Irene Neto" Central Maternity Hospital of Lubango, said that age or the state of pregnancy is not a factor in carrying out the tests.
She advised women to perform regular pre-natal consultations and HIV/AIDS tests, so that care during pregnancy is executed in the best way possible, thus avoiding unnecessary problems.
Cândida Celeste asked men to advise and accompany their partners to gynaecology and mammography consultations for the wellbeing of the family.
