Windhoek — Various European countries organise the first edition of the Europe Festival in Windhoek. They will present Europe's cultural variety by organising several events that will appeal to all senses: See, hear, taste and experience Europe.
The programme will be as follows:
- An opening ceremony on the November 16 from 18h30, at the FNCC, that will include a music concert, a performance of clowns and delicacies prepared by Europeans chefs.
- The exhibition Europe's diversity will be opened on the November 19 at 11h00, at the Goethe-Centre.
- A series of 4 European movies broadcast at the FNCC and the Goethe Centre.
Friday November 16, from 18h30 at the FNCC:
On the occasion of the opening of the European Arts Festival, the FNCC hosts a concert by Belgian pop songwriter and musician Tom Helsen, who presented his fourth album earlier this year.
There will also be a performance by the Spanish NGO Clowns Without Borders. These professionals dedicate their free time to clowning and doing magic for underprivileged children in the world.
The opening will also be a fantastic opportunity to discover and enjoy delicacies prepared by European chefs and served during the event.
Fee: N$20 including concert and food.
Monday November 19 to Friday, November 23:
The Europe's diversity exhibition is an extraordinary occasion to learn more about European diversity in terms of history, languages, traditions and art. Come and have a look at the presentation of 27 European countries.
