One person was killed at Karinzi in Musigati commune on 7 November. The victim was part of a gang which wrangled as they were going steal households.

On the same day vendors who were from Kayanza market were attacked as they were coming back to Musigati. One of them was seriously wounded is now under intense care. Cases of robberies have increased in the province of Bubanza over past few days.

Military sources indicate that FNL-PALIPEHUTU combatants loyal to Agathon Rwasa bear responsibility for these repeated robberies.

The mediation and the government of Burundi have decided to feed dissident combatants of FNL-PALIPEHUTU who are all now relocated in the province of Bubanza. The mediation and the government still favour dissidents who have already surrendered to the mainstream combatants who are still active in the Kibira forest as well as in Bubanza and Bujumbura-rural provinces.

Over more than one year that FNL-PALIPHUTU combatants had passed in various areas known by the government, the government and the mediation had not thought of supplying food to them.

In the meantime, the facilitator is giving time to the whole peace process to derail. His team is still busy with identifying and bringing assistance to dissidents while the population of diverse areas is faced with the burden of forced contributions to the movement of Agathon Rwasa.
