Eritrean nationals in Kenya held a congress aimed at reorganizing their community, during which they elected a 3-member Executive Committee, according to the Eritrean Embassy in Nairobi.

The Eritrean Ambassador to Kenya, Mr. Saleh Omer, gave extensive briefings to the participants on the objective situation in the Homeland. He pointed out that frustrated by the firm stance of the people and Government of Eritrea as regards the Boundary Commission's ruling, the TPLF regime is intending to launch an invasion against the country. Mr. Saleh further called on nationals to remain vigilant and meet any eventuality.

Also speaking at the closing session, the external zone head at the PFDJ, Ms. Abrehet Arefaine, stressed the significance of reorganizing and strengthening Eritrean communities abroad, to reinforce national identity and to step up their participation in national affairs.
