President Ernest B. Koroma of the Republic of Sierra Leone in his maiden visit to Ghana as President of his country met his Ghanaian counterpart, John Agyekum Kufuor last week.
President Koroma was welcomed with guard of honour mounted by a detachment from the Ghana Navy with a 21 gun salute.
The two presidents held bilateral talks at the Osu Castle where President Kufuor expressed his delight in welcoming the new Sierra Leonean head of state to Ghana. President Koroma paid tribute to President Kufuor and the people of Ghana for standing by Sierra Leone in their time of crisis.
