ASBECO Construction Company is implementing 21 projects this year focusing on the construction of roads and infrastructure works at an expenditure of about 350 million Nakfa according to Eng. Eyob Girme, manager of the company.

He said that the projects are being implemented in different parts of the Maekel region, including Sembel, Adi-Nefas, Emba-Derho, Mai-Hutsa and Maitemenai, among others, and that the necessary leveling and infrastructure works have been finalized. Eng. Eyob further pointed out that the projects being undertaken in Sembel involve an expenditure of 182 million Nakfa.

Noting that the project sites are those allotted to nationals residing abroad and the beneficiaries of tiesa land allocations, he stated that the necessary preparations are underway to facilitate asphalting.

Moreover, he added that the company is engaged in drafting and designing master plans for the construction of residential houses recently allotted in the Hazhaz area of the capital for 700 families at a cost of 88 million Nakfa.
