Nigeria: Revocation - FG, Coy in Out-of-Court Settlement

Abuja — The Ministry of Mines and Steel Development and the Bitumen Exploration and Exploitation Company have agreed to settle out of court in the case filed against the Ministry by BEECON over the revocation of its exploration license.

A statement from the ministry and signed by Mr. Clinton Oni, the chief press secretary indicated that the deal was brokered following a meeting initiated by the Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Chief Sarafa Tunji Isola between the Ministry and officials of the company in Abuja within the week.
