Former Benue State gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Abba Moro, has said that Idoma people were proud of the Senate President, David Mark, for exhibiting courage and maturity in national issues.
Moro who represented Mark at the presentation of a book entitled "The Mark of Courage", at the Benue Hotels on Tuesday, said with courage, David Mark contested election into the Senate three times and won.
He also said Mark recently showed courage by going into the Creeks in Rivers State to know the problems of the people and recalled that when Mark was the Communication Minister, he went into the NITEL Underground Exchange Room in Lagos to identify the problems that made the organization to be performing poorly at that time.
The former chairman of the Benue State Chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) said Mark had the courage to contest for the position of Senate President when many odds were against him and won, noting that he (Mark) courageously promised to emancipate the Idomas and other Nigerians through a constitutional review.
Moro maintained that since state creation was easily done in the past through military fiat, calling for such exercise under a civilian administration would mean a struggle that only somebody like Mark could champion with courage and sacrifice.
The former chairman of Okpokwu local government in Benue state said Nigerians were happy when the Senate under the leadership of David Mark, screened

ministerial nominees in the full glare of the entire world and observed that the author of the book, Mr Simeon Nwakaudu, of the Guardian Newspaper displayed courage by making a critical analysis of the role played by Mark in Nigerian history.
