Liberia: Funeral Schedule For Fallen Lawmaker Released

The Protocol Division of the Honorable House of Representatives in conjunction with the family of the Late Honorable Flasher G. Chideyou, has released ceremonials marking the Home going of the former Superintendent and Representative of Margibi County.

According to a release from the Press and Public Affairs Bureau of the House of Representatives, On Friday, November 16, at 11: Ante Meridian, the remains of the fallen lawmaker will be removed from the St. Moses funeral parlors and escorted to the Rotunda of the Capitol Building where it will lie in state for two hours.

The release said, the Acting Speaker Tokpa Mulbah, Honorable Members of The National Legislature and the wife of the deceased, Ruth Chideyou, will lead family members and well wishers in a parade with the body from the ministry of Labor to the grounds of the Capitol building.

It is also noted in the release that at 2: Post Meridian, the deceased Statesman will be taken to his residence in Duahzon, Roberts field highway for a night of wake keeping beginning at 7. Post Meridian.

On Saturday at 10:00 Ante-Meridian, funeral service will commence at the Rocks International Church near Camp kesselly military barracks.

Only the State, Church and family will pay tributes at the service.

Interment follows at the Duahzon cemetery.

The Margibi County District #4 lawmaker died at the Nigeria Teaching University Hospital in Lagos on Monday, October 29, 2007 as a result of stone in the bladder. He was 59 years.

He served Margibi in several capacities. Prior to his election to the National Legislature as an independent candidate, he served as founder and principal of the Duahzon Public school, secretary and later commissioner of the mamba kabai Disrict, Administrator Duahzon Township and later superintendent,
