Uganda: Upcountry Transport Fares Increase

Kampala — TRANSPORT fares for upcountry routes have gone up, following an increase in fuel prices. According to a mini-survey, the fares have increased by an average of sh1,000.

"It seems we are continuously going to suffer from the increased fuel prices. In future, there is a possibility that we shall hardly carry out trade," Michael Kusiima, a trader from Masindi, said.
