Eritrea: Ministry Graduates 60 Staff Members in Basic Journalism

In continuation of efforts to develop human resource capacity, the Ministry of Information yesterday graduated 60 new staff members who completed a course in basic journalism.

The course that was given by experienced members of the Ministry included news and feature writing, sound recording, studio system and music techniques.

Mr. Girmai Woldegergish, head of Human Resource Development in the Ministry, indicated that the Ministry is continuously working to upgrade the skills of writers and presenters so as to expand and develop programs in different languages. He further called on the graduates to develop their newly acquired skills.

A representative of the graduates expressed appreciation for the Ministry and the instructors for organizing the course.

The director general of Radio Department, Mr. Girmai Berhe, handed certificates to the graduates. It is to be recalled that the Ministry had graduated 41 staff members this month in video editing, sound recording and video camera.
