Luanda — A study on the banking sector in Angola, in the current year, will be presented Wednesday, in Luanda, by the auditing and consulting firm KPMG, ANGOP has learnt.

The document contains analysis and the accounts published by all banks operating in Angola at the end of 2006, being this the only document on the sector.

The research enables a comparison among the various Angolan banks at the level of indicators, their dimension, economic and financial performance.

"Angolan banking sector is facing a great dynamic in growth. The strong increase of competition intensity, the growing pressure from new supervision and regulation laws and the perspective of implementation at short time, a capital market, demand an effort of modernisation", states the document.
