The Kinshasa papers followed several themes this Thursday 22 November 2007.
"The listeners of Radio France International followed with much astonishment the comment on MONUC's report into the events of last March in Kinshasa," said L'Avenir.
Especially that in this report, "MONUC particularly shows the FARDC to have killed not only out the militia Jean-Pierre Bemba, but also of the civil populations... with bodies thrown in the river," believes L'Avenir.
L'Avenir asks: "When will the focus turn to the war with Nkundabatware with its procession of displaced persons in distress?"
"Rutshuru has escaped from Laurent Nkunda... thanks to strong pressure from the UN," informs Le Phare.
Indeed, the Nkundists "had managed to circumvent the lines of the Congolese Armed Forces to attack their checkpoints in the town of Rutshuru," Le Phare said.

Far from Rutshuru, it is "Etienne Tshisekedi, national president of the UDPS, who has just been evacuated to South Africa yesterday (Wednesday)," Le Potentiel informs.
And, in an official statement, the UDPS national committee, adds Le Potentiel, asks "the combatants of the party and the whole of the Congolese people to think of the national president in their prayers so that the good God makes him recover his health quickly."
For the time being, it is "the idea of boycott of the local elections by the political parties which makes the headlines," informs Le Phare.
