Eritrean nationals residing in the western Canadian cities of Winnipeg, Rajaina, Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton, Victoria and Vancouver held discussions on the objective situation in the Homeland and the Warsay-Yikaalo Development Campaign.

The Eritrean Ambassador to Canada, Mr. Ahferom Berhane, gave briefings on the endeavors being made to achieve food security. He pointed out that agricultural and infrastructure works that have so far been implemented are registering visible improvements in the living standards of the people.

Pledging to meet hostilities against the people and Government of Eritrea, the participants reaffirmed their readiness to live up to the nation's expectations.

Eritrean nationals in Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver set up committees to reinforce their struggle and Eritrean citizens in Edmonton donated 17,300 dollars in expression of their support to development programs in the Homeland.
