Tserona

A micro-dam with a capacity of holding more than 70,000 cubic meter of water is under construction in Endaba-Estifanos, Tsorona sub-zone, in collaboration with the Southern Region Administration and partners.

The micro-dam, once finalized, is expected to irrigate 10 hectares below dam farming, in addition to providing potable water to more than 2,000 local inhabitants along with their cattle.

The Administrator of the sub-zone, Mr. Girmai Keleta, stated that the inhabitants of the locality are taking active part in the undertaking. The inhabitants used to travel long distance to fetch water, according to reports.
