Tunisia: Spanish Cooperation Agreement Aims At Reducing Traffic in Tunis

Tunis — With the aim of alleviating the heavy traffic that is besetting the capital, a Tunisian-Spanish cooperation agreement was signed yesterday at the Tunis Municipality during a ceremony presided by the Mayor of Tunis, Mr Abbes Mohsen and Spain's ambassador in Tunis.

The agreement allows for a credit line of 500,000 dinars to fund the last part of a study destined to provide a strategy to regulate traffic around the capital, especially at the level of the main thoroughfares, as well as reinforcing the use of public transportation and increasing spaces destined to pedestrians.
