Tunis — Tunisia has been unanimously elected at the head of the Arab Communication and Information technologies Organisation. The move came during the organization's extraordinary meeting held on Monday in Yasmine Hammamet.
The election of the secretary-general of this organisation, Mrs. Khadija Ghariani, who is also Tunisia 's Secretary of State to the Minister of Communication technologies in charge of information technology, internet and free software, is a token of Tunisia 's active role in the sector of ICT's.
The organization which was recently set up, is currently headquartered in Tunis . Its aim is to promote ICT culture on a regional level as well as to foster technological transfer in the field of communication technologies.
