THE fortunes of African dance and musical ensemble popularly known as Atunda Entertainment, has certainly changed for the better, especially going by the latest news from the entertainment outfit.
General manager of the outfit, Mr. Wanle Oluwaleimu says one of the good fortunes is that Atunda is about to sign a contract that gives the outfit the exclusive right of entertainment at the vast 65 acres beach resort in Ibeju Lekki belonging to La Campagne Tropicana.
Oluwaleimu said that by this contract, "Atunda will be solely in-charge of all manners of entertainment at the resort. We will also have a stake on all the events that will take place at the resort, with power to also create and host our own events too."
Asked further what this means, Oluwaleimu said "it means with this contract, Atunda again has opportunity to furthermore be dynamic and creative. We have been majorly travelling abroad for shows and other performances in time past, but now, with this exclusive rights of entertainment at the La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort, Atunda has the opportunity to regularly showcase its numerous talents to the different categories of guests who in recent times, have been asking for performances by Atunda. Moreso, Atunda is presently working on an ultra modern stage at La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort which will enhance the quality of events and entertainment packages there."
Oluwaleimu said the ultra modern stage is the first of its kind in Africa in the sense that it is 100 by 50 feet wide, with 14 dressing rooms underneath it. He added: "The stage also has elevators with multi media system to enhance the quality of entertainment. This, we will launch with great fanfare in December. Actually, the building of this gigantic stage is also in preparation for our revolutionary African international music festival, which takes place in November 2008 of which I will be one of the coordinators."
