Eritrean nationals living in Toronto and its environs, Canada, held a public meeting on 25 November. The Eritrean Ambassador to Canada, Mr. Ahferom Berhane, gave briefings to the participants on the objective situation in the Homeland.

The Ambassador pointed out that the people and Government of Eritrea, without being kept hostage to the border issue, are carrying out major development programs within the framework of the Warsay-Yikaalo Development Campaign. He further commended the role of Eritrean nationals abroad in all national affairs.

Expressing support for the Government's patient and mature handling of the border issue and its domestic and foreign policies, the participants of the meeting pledged to meet any eventuality.
