Tunis — During a press conference held in Tunis on Friday, Mr Mohamed Driss, the director of Tunisia 's national theatre, presented the rich program concocted for the 13 th edition of the "Carthage Theater Days" which will run from November 30 to December 8, 2007 in several theatres around the capital.
Held under the theme "Drama from Chebbi to Darwish, a will to live", this year's edition is meant to highlight the relationship between art and life and more particularly between dramatic art and life.
With some 47 plays from 16 countries representing 3 continents and some 63 performances, including 25 Tunisian plays, even the choosiest of spectator will find a spectacle to his /her taste.
Mr Driss noted that the "Carthage Theater Days follow very closely dramatic novelties both in Tunisia , and in the Arab world", adding that the "selection criteria have mostly relied on openness ad diversity."
This year's edition of Tunisia's most prestigious theatre happening ,will also comprise art exhibits, poetry readings and musical shows, creative writing workshops are also scheduled to take place.
A Syrian play entitled "Show Cola" will open the show and Mahmoud Darwish's "Fresco" will close the event.
